*Note: a therapy dog is NOT a service dog. If you are not sure on the difference feel free to email us and we can help explain.
1. All of our started dogs/puppies are AKC registered, up to date on vaccinations, health checked, and trained with positive reinforcement of praise/toys/treats - dog training clicker and voice markers
2. Our Labs with training will be sold on a spay/neuter contract (NO breeding). Each one of these dogs will make fantastic family companions with potential for further disciplines as well, a great first step is the Canine Good Citizen test. Price varies based on the dog and training provided, see individual description.
3. We always prefer that you pick up your started puppy/dog in person so that we can go over the training with you. However, we know that's not always an option especially with families out of state, we do have the option for ground transportation in these cases, feel free to ask about this option.
4. We do require that our training puppies are signed up for a health insurance during the training program. We personally love Trupanion but you are welcome to use whatever company you prefer.
Email Larissa at FamilyLovedLabs@gmail.com for more information on available English Labs trained with the level of training you are interested in.
If/when we have a started puppy/dog available that is a good fit for your family, you can
1) Purchase the dog with the training he/she has received thus far or,
2) Add more training
Have a trip planned when your 8 week old FLL puppy is ready to come home? Or maybe you just want the puppy to get a great start on obedience, socialization, and crate training? Have your puppy stay with us an extra 6 weeks for Puppy Kindergarten.
Are you SO excited to get your puppy and do the beginning training, but unsure about more obedience later? Or maybe you just want to fine tune some things? Schedule a time for your "Family Loved Lab" to come back for board and train for Level I and/or Level II obedience.
Gus finished his Puppy Kindergarten training here at FLL and is loving life in Minnesota.
"Hello,
Thanks for reaching out! We just sent you a card in the mail and it should be arriving soon! :)
Gus is doing great! He is now very well adjusted. He is doing well in his crate while we are gone and to sleep at night. He is extremely good with our kids! His training is going very well and he is starting to have even more consistent responses with “come” even outside of training sessions. :)We are SO glad that we had him stay for Puppy Kindergarten to give him this incredible foundation. Every person who has met him comments on how well behaved and calm he is for a puppy. Thank you so much for reaching out and for the wonderful start you gave him. We notice the difference it has made.
Thanks!"
Flynn finished his Puppy Kindergarten training and part of Level I here at FLL and is loving life in Mississippi.
"Flynn is a happy and great boy. He knows his name so well that we are Hesitant to change it. Although every time we call Flynn our son Finn comes around the corner. This may be challenging. We had pictures taken of Flynn and the family as soon as he arrived and had a warm bath. He loves the beach and I will send those as soon as we receive them back from the photographer. Flynn loves the fireplace and snuggling with the kids as you can tell by the snuggly pics below. :)"
Mack finished Puppy Kindergarten here at FLL and is loving life with his family in Minnesota.
"Thank you. Mack is such a wonderful boy. We are all smitten with his sweet face and gentle disposition. I am certain you had a hard time saying good bye to this guy. Rest assured he was welcomed into a happy busy dog loving home. He will have an active loving life and will be included in all we do. He blended into our family (human and dog) like he has lived here from day 1. I’ve actually never had a dog acclimate so quickly/immediately! Thank you for all your love and training. Attached are a couple pics. Thank you again,
Kristin/Lake/mom, Grace 3, Monica 13, Miranda 15, Dylan 18, Maria 21, Lucy (pup), and River (pup-genetic1/2 bro to Mack)."
Drake finished his Puppy Kindergarten training here at FLL and is loving life in Florida.
"Thank you Larissa.
Drake is wonderful. He’s very mellow and well trained. He sleeps in his crate or stays in his play pan without crying or barking. He walks great with the leash ….. He is just wonderful!!
Rose
Thank you all for this smart and wonderful Pup!"
Bruno finished his Puppy Kindergarten training here at FLL and is loving life in Minnesota.
"Hi FLL!
We're almost exactly 1 week in with our Bruno Boy! He's SUCH a love and has become a member of our family so easily. I honestly can't imagine our little crew without him now. ◡̈
He has smiles and licks for everyone he meets and is very well behaved with new people in general. A little leaping excitement but we try to keep that to a minimum.
We finished up with his worming on time and he's slowly starting to drink city water, today's his first day of that and his bod seems to be doing fine with it.
We're working on walks, he is definitely distracted by all the sights and sounds and smells of the inner city, I think we'll probably start using a harness with him because I think it will make things a bit easier as he adjusts. He's amazing off leash when we can do it, he explores but stays close and always has one eye on us. He never bolts toward anything or anyone, I wish we could just take him off leash everywhere, but city life doesn't really allow for that safely.
We've been keeping up with training and have four rotating Trixi
e puzzles for him to work on daily. The kids love watching him work through the puzzles, we're all so impressed with how smart of a boy he is. ◡̈
He's been coming with me everyday to drop the kids off at school and then we're off to my office for the workday. I think he was slightly confused as to what we were doing at first but definitely has the daily routine down now! He seems to be able to find any place to get comfy but he also has a crate at my office that he takes a longer nap in mid day after lunch and a walk.
And our next door neighbors have a golden retriever puppy, George, who Bruno gets a lot of wrestling in with and they both seem to really enjoy that time, off leash and just kind of going wild on each other. It stays respectful but gets very muddy and fun which is great.
If you're able to forward the email to Nick we'd appreciate it and please make sure he knows how grateful we are to him - he clearly did such a wonderful job with Bruno's first few weeks and we'll be forever thankful for that.
Thanks for everything and we'll definitely send ocassional updates (not too many, I promise, but we want you to see him grow up!).

River finished Puppy Kindergarten I and II, and Level I and II training and is loving life in South Carolina
"When I lost my third English Lab Rio to cancer, I began to think about breeders to find my next soul mate. Two friends had wonderful puppies from Family Loved Labs in MN. When I spoke to Rosie and Larissa, I knew they would be the perfect breeder for me! I loved their personal interest in placing their pups with the right "parents". I choose to have Larissa train my puppy River for 4 months and it was the best decision I ever made! She gave River a home environment, interaction with people and other dogs and so much personal training based on her personality. River arrived with an accomplished vocabulary of commands and is the most obedient, loving puppy."
