Family Loved Labs: Dogs with Jobs: Therapy Dog, Service Dog, Hunting Labs

We are so proud of all the English Labs we produce here at Family Loved Labs. Some of our puppies continue on with their new families doing fun jobs/activities such as being hunting Labs, therapy dogs, service dogs, events/titling, etc. and we would like to take a moment to recognize some of them on this page.

With all the versatility here - one thing remains the same with all our puppies. They are all FAMILY Loved Labs!

Our Suka (Charm & Dickens girl) will be 3 years old in a couple of weeks! She has been doing great this Fall at the game farm. We are looking forward to our new FLL to join our family so she has a hunting partner. FLL has the BEST English Labs....we are so pleased!

I hope your family is all doing well! My family is enjoying all the fun and love (our) Rosie brings every day! The last 18 months has gone by so fast. I can't express enough all the wonderful things we love about her! She is well-tempered, intelligent, a wonderful family companion, a superb hunter and completely gorgeous! I can't say enough about her! Thank you for allowing us to bring one of your amazing puppies to join our family. We are truly grateful!

Good afternoon…..
I adopted my puppy, Maverick (formerly Admiral) from you all last December. Our boy turned one and I cannot begin to express how important he is in my family’s life. I just returned from Arkansas on a duck hunt with him and he did fabulous! We have some things to work on but I’m not pressuring him to be the best gun dog around. He enjoys being around when guns go off, and when the safety clicks his ears perk up. He is a ball of energy, he is extremely concerned about our 1 year old daughter and follows her everywhere. He can sprint with my 6 year old boy and play tough or he can be delicately gentle when my baby girl wants to lay on his side. He is as goofy as he is energetic and his motor never stops. When we talked about adopting him originally, you mentioned he always has something in his mouth - that apparently is a trait in his marrow, he is always bringing us something or excited to show something off he has found in the yard or around the house. I wanted to send you some pictures of him as I know how much these puppies mean to you all. Most importantly I wanted to thank you for giving us a family member that is constantly bringing us joy. I hope you have had a great holiday season and wish you the best for the upcoming year.

We are fortunate to have adopted one of your Labs who is now 5 years old. His name is Chester. He is such a sweet, mellow, smart, duck retrieving champ and a beloved house pet too!!

Hi Rosie,

I just wanted to update you on Hendricks (Java/Noble 5/19/16) I had researched quite a bit before I chose you as a breeder and couldn’t be more pleased. I got Hendricks with the intentions of fulfilling my dreams as a Therapy Dog/handler team. Well we did it. We have passed all our certifications and testing processes and we started at the hospital this weekend with orientation and patient visits. I am beyond excited to be sharing this experience with my best furry friend;) She has been so responsive to all the training and loves to go to work.. as long as there is an occasional belly rub and maybe a treat somewhere along the way! Keep up the great work. Your dogs are beautiful and easy to train, ready to work and eager to please! Thank you for being a responsible breeder and caring so much about what you do! I love every minute I get to spend with her. Who are we kidding... she is therapeutic for me too

Happy New Year! We wanted to let you know what a great dog Quincy is turning out to be. She is almost 10 months old and just under 60 pounds. Quincy is super calm, extremely snugly, and quite smart. Her training is going very well and she is enjoying life with the typical Labrador energetic and fun attitude.

Quincy passed the AKC Star Puppy test with flying colors this summer as a 6 month old puppy. Quincy is currently being trained further in basic obedience with a small group of big dogs all around her age (2 golden retrievers, a rottweiler, a doberman, and an German short-hair pointer mix) and they are all best buddies. Next week she will also begin tricks class. When she is a year old we will have her train for the Canine Good Citizen and Community Dog tests and then therapy dog classes for hospitals, nursing homes, airports, etc. First and foremost though she is a pampered pet :)

We have attached some pictures of Quincy so you can see what a beautiful dog she is growing up to be. We have had numerous people comment on her great looks and a few ask where she is from. Of course, we don't hesitate to tell them and let them know you are an awesome breeder!

One of the pictures is a close-up of her lower back which has a really distinctive and interesting zigzag fur pattern that gets lots of comments when people first meet her. Quincy's coat is very thick and this is probably not a surprise but she loves the snow and the cold weather does not bother her in the least. In fact, she was not real fond of summer weather and spent a lot of time in her dog pool when she was outside in the hot weather. She also loves her two days a week at day camp and they think she is just a great dog.

Versatility at it's finest - Raven is both a therapy AND hunting dog

Wishing a very Happy 1st Birthday to all of Raven’s 2/2/22 brothers and sisters!

Raven girl is as sweet and spunky as they come. She enjoyed a lot of new and fun things in her 1st year with some of our favorites being cabin trips, duck hunting, and bringing joy to residents and staff at a local skilled nursing facility. Thank you for choosing us to love her. We can’t imagine life without her!

Dr. Dakota was a certified therapy dog with his awesome owner. They blessed so many people! Wrangler has passed, but you can see the memories he made by following on Instagram, and following Wrangler, another FLL working with his owner to become a certified therapy dog as well.

Kari is a certified professional dog trainer. She is training Birdie (Nakia x Noble puppy) to be her Gluten Detection Dog.

"Born in March of 2021, Birdie is a Chocolate Lab whom you will meet on Zoom I’m sure- she loves to make an appearance! She is pure joy in a fuzz-filled package. She and I are working towards becoming a finished service dog team. I have severe Celiac Disease, and she will be my gluten detection dog. Fingers and paws crossed! We train with Willow Service Dogs.
